The first area of competence is called "Foundational Knowledge".
It defines 3 categories of skills needed for working and learning the PSP.

1.1 Process Definition -- Since PSP ends with "Process", they need to define what they mean by "Process".

1.2 Process Elements -- The above process acts on things. This is were you need to define those things as elements.

1.3 Statistics -- You need to be able understand what is statistics to start tracking and planning future work.
